ScoreGuy is a game scoring app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

ScoreGuy uses anonymous sign-in by default — no account or personal login is required. When you use the app's online features (such as game library browsing, live sessions, or QR sharing), we may collect:

• A display name or profile identifier you choose
• Custom games you create, including scoring rules and house rules
• Session data needed to run live scoring (players, rounds, computed scores)
• Basic device/technical information needed to keep sessions working correctly

⚙️ How We Use It

Any information collected is used solely to provide app functionality — running live sessions, saving your games, and enabling QR-based sharing. We do not sell your data.

💾 Data Storage

Session and game data needed for online features (live scoring, library browsing, QR sharing) is stored on our backend so it can sync across devices and participants. Local preferences, such as your selected theme, are stored only on your device.

📢 Advertising

ScoreGuy generates revenue through advertising. We may display banner advertisements during active scoring sessions, as well as on menu and other non-gameplay screens. These banner ads are designed to be non-intrusive and do not interrupt gameplay or scoring.

We may work with third-party advertising networks to serve and measure these advertisements. These providers may collect limited technical information or advertising identifiers (such as your device's advertising ID) to deliver relevant ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud. This information is processed according to the advertising network's own privacy policy and is not linked to your game scores, match data, or scoring session history by ScoreGuy.

🤝 Third-Party Services

ScoreGuy uses third-party infrastructure (such as Firebase) to support game library, live session, and QR sharing features, and third-party ad networks to serve advertising outside of gameplay. These providers process data only as needed to deliver those features.

ScoreGuy does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is required for basic app functionality described above.
